Operation Game: Pick the Bones Out of These!

Remember the Operation game? You’ll be BUZZ-ed with this fun collection of Operation board games. The game you enjoyed in your youth is still available in its basic form, but there are lots of new editions, including Operation Mania PC game!

Best Operation Board Games

Don’t touch the sides! A simple Children’s board games classic, Operation is the same as it’s always been. What’s changed is the licensed versions, which include superheroes, Movie and TV games, and even NASCAR!

Here, in no particular order, are the favorite versions of the Boardgame Beast staff.

Alien Autopsy

A great choice of alien birthday party games or Halloween game ideas, this weirdly compelling space-themed Operation game is something a little different. Definitely more likely to appeal to boys than girls.

Doctor Who Operation

Another classic board game adaptation of the time lord and his long-running TV series. Currently only available in the UK, so you’ll have to spring for overseas shipping, but it’s well worth it if you have a manic Doctor Who fan in your family.

Operation Pit Stop NASCAR game

What a great idea! Among the Nascar games we found when researching our reviews, this one was a stand out because it’s an original twist on an old favorite. Rather than a patient, you have to fix up a NASCAR saloon. Good, simple fun for young NASCAR fans.

Operation Spongebob Squarepants

Who wouldn’t want the chance to torture-, er, I mean RESCUE Spongebob Squarepants?! A great way for parents to take revenge on the super-annoying squidgy hero from Bikini Bottom, but your kids will love it.

Keychain Operation

I’ve always loved the miniature versions of popular toys. It’s really cool to have a tiny, working version of something you’re used to seeing full sized. So this keychain is a really nice gift. Use it as a stocking stuffer, or as a party favor for a kid’s birthday party.

PC Operation Game

It’s Operation as a video game! What a great idea. And the good news is, while Operation Mania isn’t a tremendous game, it’s really not bad, quite playable and suitable for kids aged 6yrs or older. That said, adults can still enjoy the experience.

We’ve rounded up as many versions of this hand-eye co-ordination test as we could find. Don’t see your favorite Operation board game here? Send us board game reviews! We’ll publish your comments and footprint ratings on each game as soon as you submit them to us.
