This set divides opinion. Whatever your personal feeling about the black and silver look and the raised grid, this is a turntable edition of Scrabble and has plenty of fans.

People who disliked it were expecting a better quality of components and finish. Unless you shell out for the Franklin Mint Scrabble set, you won’t be getting a gilt-edged set here.

However, most people really liked this set. You do get what you pay for. Most people aren’t going to spend that on a board game.
