Ostia board game: The Harbor of Rome
Supplying the Roman senate was never a recipe for financial disaster, and Ostia sets you the challenge of making it big off the fat of the world’s greatest Empire.
Each turn gives you a hint of what goods will be demanded by the Senate for the current and next turns. You draw goods from a deck: one can be kept, but the others must be sold at auction.
You can hoard goods for the following round, try to convert them into cash, or bribe the Senators (sounds just like modern America). Continues belowThe more there is of a type of goods on the market, the less each is worth to its seller. You also score victory points based on how close you are to the orders the Senate placed for that round.
Additional victory points are scored by the three players with the most cold cash at the end of the Ostia board game.
