Littlest Pet Shop
Board game manufacturer:
Hasbro
Number of players:
2-4
Quick verdict
The Littlest Pet Shop game is super-cute and easy enough for most Kindergarten-aged children to grasp.
The game and gameplay
Littlest Pet Shop Game is a boardgame for two to four players, age four and up.
Each player chooses one of the adorable bobble head animals (turtle, bunny, kitty and puppy) and takes turns spinning the dial to work their way from the start position all around the board.
At each of the four locations (playground, diner, playhouse and salon) they will receive a colored pawprint token. Each location has its own colored token (pink, yellow, blue and green).
The first player to receive all four colored tokens and make it back to the start is the winner! The game can be tricky, however, because if you land on a flower space, your turn is over.
And if your opponent lands on a monkey space, it’s time for monkey business! That means that your opponent can now take one of your pawprint tokens if they don’t already have that color token themselves.
The verdict
This game is lots of fun, with lots giggling from the younger crowd! And who doesn’t like the adorable littlest pets they provide as tokens?
