As with most of the world’s popular game franchises, there are dozens of editions of Yahtzee. Some are designed to appeal solely to collectors; but don’t overlook the fact that some consumer will demand a certain quality of board game.
Yes, as well as collectors of the Library editions, there are regular folks who prefer wood boxes to cardboard, quality components versus modern plastic. People who like things to be made the way they used to be. Like these people.
That’s why the library editions exist. And they are indeed very handsome.
