New York Yankees Scrabble
Baseball. Scrabble. On the face of it, two pastimes which fall into the chalk and cheese or oil and water category. And yet, the clever makers of Scrabble spotted a gap in the market for thinking sports fans and introduced a bunch of MLB-themed editions.
It was pretty clever. No doubt, most of these sets will never be opened, just hoarded by the collectors who loyally buy anything with their team logo on it, regardless of its usefulness.
If you think that’s unlikely, remember, these are the folks who pay upwards of $10 for a plastic cup of lukewarm beer in the stadium.
