Mom always said breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but did you know that it's also an awesome time to practice your vocabulary? Word Krispies is a yummy little word game that employs plenty of clever bonuses and is like a spelling bee in your bowl.
What’s it about?
Word Krispies starts with two choices; the first is whether to play as the kid or the mom, and the second is to go the Classic route or the Action one.
Unless you're a walking dictionary, save yourself a lot of pain and stick with Classic mode, as the other option proves to be insanely hard.
Feel free to pass right over the dumb storyline - something about a necklace mysteriously dropping into a box of cereal on a transport truck – to get to the good stuff. Each level finds you facing off a breakfast bowl that continually produces more random Alphabits.
Click or type letters to form words (the longer the better, obviously). Words that you are spelling converge in the middle of the milk, which is handy. As you submit strings of morning morsels, more letters drop in, until the box at hand is empty.
This take on Scrabble is far from stale thanks to the sheer variety of power ups and bonuses that occur. Spell a long word and you'll earn a green Cheerio, which looks nasty but is unsinkable.
Successfully use a temporary rainbow loop in a word to score such events as extra Alphabits or having your soggiest piece made fresh. Also keep a lookout for bonus words and flash fruit to gobble up some additional points.
