Wonderburg is simply a "reskinned" Build-a-Lot with a slight fantasy themed twist. If you don't like Build-a-Lot, you won't like this either.
What's it about?
You have to redevelop various fantasy towns. This means buying lots, building on them, upgrading houses and collecting rents.
Your witchy spells will come in handy for exorcising ghosts from your houses when they get haunted, as well as dismissing ghosts which wander the streets.
Houses which fall into disrepair will need fixing. The dirty work is done by Dwarves, whom you have to hire using cash. Gold is also needed for buying houses and lots and ordering building materials.
Sometimes, in a token nod to the fantasy theme (which really feels tacked on), you have to exorcise ghosts or dismiss them from the streets.
Essentially, if you have played Build-a-Lot, you know exactly what to expect.

The verdict
Wonderburg may float your boat if you loved the Build-a-Lot series, but have something against modern real estate agents. Otherwise, there doesn't seem a lot of point to this game.
