The Wizard of Oz Monopoly poses several important questions. Like, will Dorothy get back to Kansas? Will the lion find courage? And what does the Wicked Witch of the West have to do with property ownership?
One of the most important questions you should be asking yourself is, "How long will I leave it to purchase a set?" Because there's every chance that this will become a key item in Monopoly board game collecting.
Don't be fooled by the inferior USAOpoly edition. The REAL Monopoly Wizard of Oz game has a huge picture of Judy Garland on the front. It's this version that we predict will be a $100 item within three years.
The movie was such a huge event. It's among many people's all-time great lists. Monopoly collecting is getting bigger and bigger (not to mention more and more impossible from a completist's perspective). All of this means, you should grab a set now while they are fairly reasonably priced.
The best place to buy anything collectable is eBay. Amazon's NEW price (there was only one left at the time of writing) has indeed hit $99, although the aftermarket had listings from $54. We're in recession, which has impacted on the prices of all collector's items: we found eBay listings from as low as $11.
