Quinn is back to supervise everyone’s perfect day in the midst of things going imperfectly. More cake is at stake this time around, however, as she competes in a contest to plan her most exclusive wedding yet!
What’s it about?
Though you would hardly guess it, this sequel centers around a reality show competition. At the beginning of the game, Quinn is approached by a very wealthy but kinda villainous man who has been tracking her career.
He propositions the multi-tasker to enter a contest doing what she does best – that is, coordinating marriage festivities. The prize? The coveted honor of planning his own daughter’s nuptials.
The contest is no small event, as it involves weddings from all over the world. With each faraway land, however, comes some familiar territory, as you’ll be delivering presents, serving food, and handling disasters much in the same way as the original game.
You still have to read the doting duo’s minds at the start of a level and serve as an usher to their guest list.
What’s new for the newlyweds? Kookier family members, for one. There’s Uncle Charles, whose mother must not have taught him how to chew his food properly, as he’s always choking (and guess who has to perform the Heimlich on him?).
A forgetful grandparent and set of twins are also present. And what would a wedding be without a whiny toddler to keep quiet?
Joe the photographer is a new addition, there at every shindig to snap people’s portraits as they request them (I knew these guests were in love with themselves!). Song requests can also be put in for extra points, but beware of the band’s tendency to start rocking out inappropriately.
In addition to the bottles of champagne used to "calm down" those in line from the last game, there is also a more potent glass of bubbly in this edition that rests at the bride and groom’s table.
It can be clicked three times before it shatters and the relief it offers is dried up. It can be used to get EVERYONE drunk... er, I mean happy... for a minute or so, anyway.
As always, if a reception bombs, you have to keep hosting it until you can get it right. This time, however, it is the husband that will go haywire if things turn sour, channeling the stress of it all into his alter ego, Groom Kong!

Pros and cons
+ Five gorgeous, worldly locales to play at (Niagara Falls, the Amazon Rainforest, the Arabian Desert, an ice resort in Finland, and a royal resort in Thailand). I think going global was a good bet, as it gives the game a more creative angle.
+ The new level layout may not be modeled after a dessert, but it still takes the cake for being easy and understandable.
+ Pretty pearled loading screen.
+ The help section offers a clear, colorful outline of what to do.
+ The guests of honor are still carrying on clever conversation, although a couple of the lines are recycled from the first Wedding Dash.
+ Flo pops in from time to time to help out as a waitress!
- It starts getting insanely hard in the later levels. I had to look up seating charts in Playfirst forums just to pass a few of the receptions (and my husband has dubbed me the Expert Queen!).
The verdict
If I could give this game higher than a five, I would. When, oh when, is Wedding Dash 3 coming out?
