Join our RSS feed. "WTF?!" Exactly our problem, too. So here's RSS explained, in Candyland language
If you need RSS explained, you're not alone. To be honest, here at Boardgame Beast, we're about as web-savvy as a dead spider. So we boned up on RSS and the XML feed. Here's RSS explained in words that anybody capable of playing Candyland will be able to understand.
RSS
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication.
Really = very, very, as in, "Paris Hilton is really dumb."
Simple = you don't need a lot of help understanding it, as in, "Paris Hilton is simple," or better, "Paris Hilton is REALLY simple."
Syndication = a way of sharing something, as in, "Paris Hilton is not easy to include in a sentence containing the word 'syndication'."
What you need to know - our hairy, malodrous Boardgame Beast geeks crunch all our new pages into a slimy oatmeal-type substance. This gets "squirted" into something called an XML feed. It's fed to your favourite RSS reader.
Most of us have Yahoo!,
MSN Live or Google
mail accounts and all of these have RSS readers built into them.
So, by subscribing, you will receive automatic updates of our RSS feed to your MSN Live, Yahoo! or Google mail homepage. This means you can click on the updates as they appear and instantly find out what's new at Boardgame Beast. Now if that's not cool, we're Paris Hilton.
XML
XML stands for something so hideously tedious that we're not going to explain it. You don't need to know. Honest. If you're that curious, look it up in this Google search box.
