Quick verdict
The clue is in the word "Tycoon". This game has little to do with the original Monopoly game, apart from branding and graphics, but it's a fair business building game.
What's it about?
Players compete for real estate in a virtual city. You buy property and convert it into thriving (or failing!) businesses.
There's a fair amount of depth, a strong degree of difficulty but also a steep learning curve.
If downloading a trial, your free hour will probably not be long enough to get to grips with the game. (This is no longer possible: all trial links have long gone!)

Monopoly Tycoon won't appeal to everybody. It's quite hard-core for a business sim and people seeking a fast, action-packed biz fix should look elsewhere.
