Quick verdict

The redheaded relatives are back, this time with a mother-daughter line that has turned their last name into a plural noun. Fans of the first game that have already walked a mile in these stilettos should be able to jump right in.

What’s it about?

After the success of their premier collaborative effort, Jojo and daughter Rosalind return to live the posh life at more fabulous fashion shows. This time around, however, they get to garb the guys and gals in their own personal brand, Las Cruces.

For the first couple of levels you’ll think you clicked the wrong icon on your desktop, as this sequel looks and feels near-identical to the original (even the PC shortcuts are exactly the same!). Sure, you’re *told* that you are presenting in a bunch of different cities, but let’s face it - they all look the same from backstage.

Before you write this game off as being "last season", let me tell you about a couple of additions that keep it in-style. As you might expect, a variety of new breath-taking getups have been added to the mix, and a bunch of bizarre themes as well (Pirate Gypsy, anyone?).

You’re also now dressing guys as well and sometimes are required to send models out in pairs rather than individually.

The power up to end all power ups from the last game was the Supermodel one, which applied a multiplier of two to a model’s score if you bestowed the status on her way out.

With Jojo’s Fashion Show 2, a Show Climax automatically occurs when the last three beauties hit the catwalk. It works in the same way as the old power up by doubling a fahionista’s points. The Supermodel power up is still occurs, too, albeit infrequently.

The freshest change in Las Cruces comes in the form of a photography mini-game that appears a few times per locale. You’re asked to search through a crowd of random models and snap the best pictures that you can of themes from your list.

Pros and cons

+ Even better than the first edition.

+ All of the pros from my original review.

+ You have enough time to delight in your designs, unlike other fashion games.

+ You’ll feel as close to an actual fashion show as you can get with a PC game.

+ Double Time cuts the clock in half, adding to the challenge by making you scramble even more.

- There is a glitch with one of the Signature Outfits in Level 4.2; it’s not obtainable.

- Rosalind nearly always looks like Paris Hilton when she talks to her mother; this is, a spoiled, rebellious brat.

The verdict

If you thought the first Jojo’s Fashion Show was designer-quality, you should find the second one to be just as "juicy"... Juicy Couture, that is!
