Anna's Ice Cream is a time management game in the vein of the Diner Dash online game and downloadable game. The anime-style graphics really stand out, but the gameplay won't win over people who don't like this kind of gig.
What's it about?
Anna's uncle wants to retire from the ice cream business and he has called her in to help him continue his empire.
A rather sexy anime Anna puts on her apron and tight yellow skirt and goes to work! If you've played the Diner Dash series, then you'll know what to expect: a steady stream of ever more demanding customers wanting ice cream.
The game starts with just a wafer cup and vanilla ice cream. Steadily, more options are added, including cherry and sprinkles toppings, straws and cocktail sticks to add pizzazz to your servings, more flavours (strawberry and pear), cones or plates for serving on and even frozen desserts.
The more choices a customer has, the more demanding they get. It's easy to keep on top of a couple of orders for vanilla, but try juggling five orders with multiple flavours and toppings...

As if that were not enough, your helper monkeys, who do the serving, must be kept an eye on also. They have to be told to pick up the trays and serve the desserts, clear trash from the table, take napkins to customers or deliver lemonade and cookies to calm down impatient ice cream fans.
Your monkeys need help too. Sometimes their energy flags and you have to toss them bananas or apples to keep up their strength.
Moving through the 50 levels unlocks more objects, such as tablecloths or umbrellas, as well as upgrades to the ice cream machine, larger tubs etc.

+ Lovely Japanese-style anime cartoon graphics really take the presentation to a new level for this type of game.
+ Frantic pace slowly builds, making this a game that nags away at you. Isn't life stressful enough?!
+ Plenty of challenge here and lots to discover as you make progress.
- Simply a time management game and if you don't dig those, then this isn't going to change your mind.
The verdict
Anna's Ice Cream game is a lovely example of the breed. I enjoyed playing it, but my life is pretty hectic already and I didn't need the extra blood pressure spike this gave me! You will either love or hate it.
