A good gardener protects his flowers at all costs. Are you up for the challenge?
What's it about?
Daisy Defender is a simple, shoot-‘em-up type game set against a basic canvas of grass and a row of flowers. Positioned at the bottom of the screen is your mega sprayer, loaded with a poisonous pesticide that would probably get you in trouble with the Environmental Protection Agency if they ever caught you.
All manner of bugs and pests start coming for your daisies, and you must determine where and when you should destroy them using your limited amount of toxic bursts. Sprays are rather slow-going, so you need to time them just right in order to do any damage. I discovered that the firing range can be expanded to take out two insects at once.
Power-up pills float in that you must shoot if you wish to activate them. They include shields, refills, and point multipliers.
Like most defender-type games, the levels come with different waves you have to get through. I found it's not necessarily a bad thing to be down a few daises as you play, as the bugs are dumb and will crawl/fly into the open spaces without you having to waste sprays.

Pros and cons
+ The daisies make endearing noises upon impact.
+ You can get a distance bonus for faraway poison shots.
- Daises are not a very appealing thing to have to defend.
The verdict
If you like tower defense games, Daisy Defender fits into the genre on a smaller scale. No bugs or daisies were hurt in real life through the making of this game.
