Batman Monopoly: Batman and Robin
celebrates perhaps the cheesiest Batman movie since the 1970s.
The case for the prosecution:
"Holy rusted metal Batman!"
"What?"
"Well... it's metal. It's rusty. And there are holes in it."
At least they didn't whip out cans of Bat Shark Repellent Spray, but it was pretty embarrassing. At times, you could have been forgiven for expecting to hear Adam West and Burt Ward's voices on the screen.
Whether or not the movie influenced the price of the Monopoly collector's editions is hard to pinpoint. The regular Batman Monopoly costs upwards of $50 (more often $150+); this edition is way less. We found one on eBay for just $12. Amazon's price was double (May 2009); it's currently unavailable on Amazon (Oct 2009).
