Amazon Survival (also known as Amazon Survivor) is a Match 3 game with a twist; the minimum mate requirement is actually a match 4! It's set with a backdrop of a beautiful rainforest.
What's it about?
The details of the goal in Amazon Survivor don't make any sense; I'm supposed to save endangered species by…drowning them? Indeed, the objective in Amazon Survivor is to get all of the animals that are above the water below the surface.
You go about eliminating critters in a similar style to Luxor or Zuma: shoot a colored cuddly next to some hued family members to form a unit of four and remove them. Ideally you want to be aiming to have mass animal reunions, as this is the only way to rack up a big score.
Power-ups exist that you can employ anytime after you've earned them. They include the standard Colour Bomb and Line Blast that will destroy all creatures of the same tint and a whole row of critters, respectively.
Three levels are present per game that you advance in as soon as you've drowned... er, sorry, rescued the animals for the round.
Editor's tip for top Amazon Survival scores: If you're really quick and clear the levels faster, the balls turn square. This indicates that you are at least one level ahead of your opponent!
